Our Story
Chapter One · Spring 2019
It was an unremarkable Tuesday — a friend's gallery opening in a converted warehouse, a glass of bad wine, and a conversation that lasted until the lights came up. We left at midnight without exchanging numbers and spent the next three weeks trying to find each other again.
Chapter Two · Autumn 2020
A long drive to the Amalfi coast in a borrowed car that was much too small. We argued about directions, ate too much pasta, and watched a thunderstorm roll across the bay from a balcony in Praiano. It is still our favourite place in the world.
Chapter Three · Winter 2024
Edward planned it for months, then, on a quiet morning in Kyoto, lost his nerve entirely. So he simply asked, in the snow, beside a tea house with no audience and no fanfare. Elizabeth said yes before he had finished the sentence.
Chapter Four · Today
Sunday roasts that stretch into Monday. Hand-written notes left in coat pockets. A small dog called Olive who refuses to learn her name. The slow accumulation of a life made together — the very best kind of ordinary.
